Wright Van Handel, LLP set its roots in the mid-1990s when Valerie Wright hung out her shingle to practice criminal defense. (Her husband, Patrick Flaherty, was then Chief Deputy District Attorney for Deschutes County.)

Valerie wanted to expand the practice to include family law and hired Julie Van Handel to join the office. (It was one of the smartest decisions she ever made.)

From the beginning we wanted our place to be one where the client is well-served. To that end we have succeeded in bringing together some of the best support staff imaginable.

Why does that matter? Our people are committed to making sure that your questions get answered, your calls get returned and, most importantly, your needs get met. Our staff takes pride in providing the exceptional customer service and personal assistance that residents of Central Oregon have come to expect and deserve.

We have that old-fashioned work ethic and work hard to achieve beneficial outcomes for all of our clients.

Our office is conveniently located in the Orchard District of Bend, close to both 3rd Street (Highway 97) and Greenwood (Highway 20 east).

Our practice is open weekdays, generally from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. but we can accommodate earlier, later and weekend appointments upon request.
